Vestibular Rehabilitation is and exercise
based approach to the remediation of disequilibrium and dizziness symptoms
associated with peripheral vestibular pathology or inner ear disorder.

are:

2. To reduce imbalance and ataxia through balance retraining
3. To reduce visual motion sensitivity/ gaze stabilization through
eye-
head coordination exercises
4. To improve physical conditioning
Patients are asked to exercise
daily at home and visit the physical therapist during an initial period
of 6 to 8 weeks.
The Assessment of function in a patient with inner ear dysfunction focuses
on 3 major areas:
1. Evaluation of the musculoskeletal system
2. Balance and gait assessment
3. Vertigo assessment
