LiteGait
The unique design of the
LiteGait system allows the therapist to lift
and train patients without the help of additional staff. It allows the
therapist to move a patient up to 350 lbs from a seated position to proper
upright posture for balance, gait or pre-gait activities . The patient
is kept in a comfortable, fall free environment, enabling both the patient
and the therapist to concentrate on the therapy session much earlier
in the rehabilitation process. The LiteGait can be used in sitting, kneeling,
quadruped or standing and over ground or in conjunction with a treadmill.
LiteGait is like a second set of hands, because it frees the therapist
to observe postural or gait patterns and make manual adjustments in limb
placement, weight shifting, walking symmetry and gait timing. Proper
upright posture is maintained throughout the training session even with
very poor trunk control and provides a safer therapy environment.
LiteGait safely supports children and adults to:
* Walk on treadmill or
over ground in an environment free
from falls
* Learn to sit, stand and walk upright
* Throw, catch and kick
* Stand and play and interact socially
* Crawl
